The Cenex-Connected Automated Mobility Event, will be a dedicated event that will be co-located with Cenex-LCV2019, jointly working with supporting partners. The seminar hall will focus on Connected and Autonomous Vehicle (CAV) related content and the exhibition area, adjacent to the seminar hall, will host companies, universities, R&D consortia and test facilities wishing to showcase their latest technology developments, as well as progress with research projects.
The UK has been establishing itself at the forefront of innovation when it comes to Connected Automated Mobility, which is expected to be a £907 billion market by 2035 . This change has been reflected in the LCV annual event over the past couple of years and last year it had its largest ever CAV Showcase which included indoor and outdoor exhibition space, a chance for companies to present findings from leading R&D projects, and a chance to meet with the Meridian-funded CAV testbeds.
Robert Evans, CEO of Cenex said, “With the CAV Showcase attracting a high-level of engagement throughout last year’s event, it seemed like a natural progression to launch a dedicated Connected Automated Mobility Event, to satisfy growing interest and demand from the Cenex-LCV audience. We also hope to attract new attendees to the UK capabilities showcase and engage with informers to discuss emerging technologies, industry issues and what the future holds We are working closely with the support of the Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV), Innovate UK and the Department for International Trade to ensure the Cenex-Connected Automated Mobility Event demonstrates the strength of UK connected and autonomous vehicle ideas to the world.” The Cenex-Connected Automated Mobility Event will provide a consolidated dissemination of R&D and testbed projects funded by CCAV and Innovate UK, as well as showcasing international exhibitor activities and welcoming overseas delegations.
